Frogs, Pots, Heat, and Us

You can look down on a frog that’s too dumb to notice that it’s in a pot of water that’s heating up and will soon come to a boil and painfully kill it, but we’re all frogs now, and if you think of Trump’s issuing a decree that all of Harvard’s international students (about a quarter of its student body), must be disenrolled as the temperature going up a notch, then you might be wondering whether it will be time to jump soon, and we don’t even know how high the walls of the pot are, or whether we’re smarter than frogs.
