Trump’s Parade

Trump’s parade reminds me of reading many decades ago about Mussolini having a parade of tanks and other military vehicles go by while he watched happily from a balcony. His generals worried that they were short on tanks and this would infuriate Il Generalissimo, so they had the tanks go around the block so he would think there were enough of them. I don’t know whether the story or my memory is accurate, but the commonality in mindsets surely is. Like Mussolini, Trump will be remembered as a brigand and a fool.
