Our Daily Reminder

Every day we get a sickening reminder of why people of good will must resist compromising with evil. Today’s, for me, was a quote from remarks by Canada’s prime minister, Mark Carney — “The United States is no longer a reliable partner. . .the old relationship we had with the United States . . . is over,” — coupled with Rachel Maddow’s colleague Steve Benen’s recollection of comments President Obama made before the Canadian House of Commons near the end of his second term in office: “Obama celebrated ‘the extraordinary alliance’ between Canadians and Americans, adding: ‘Americans can never say it enough: We could not ask for a better friend or ally than Canada. We could not. It’s true, and we do not take it for granted.'”

No more, as Trump and his enablers wield their axes, hacking away at our country, destroying it, piece by piece. bit by bit, day after day.
